Welcome to Rocketry
If you are, by chance, brand new to rocketry and are looking for a concise primmer to get you on your way, then check out this introduction compiled by John Coker.
You may even find it useful if you have been in rocketry for a while but never cracked the code spoken by some of the old-timers. I know I did.

Deepsky Rocket Shop
An RTV Auxillary Member at large, Paul Lavin is proprietor of Europe's largest rocketry supply company.
Paul's web-store is not the usual online catalog, his product descriptions are heavily salted with his legendary British wit (more dry than sweet). In fact, he is currently being harassed by the E.U. Subcommittee on Cyberspace Frivolity for exceeding mandated specifications pertaining to hyperbole and sarcasm), Go check it out, even if you don't buy your cheese by the stone.

Photos by Nadine
Nadine's photographs have been featured in High Power Rocketry, Sport Rocketry and Extreme Rocketry publications. Often seen scurrying around Hartsel CO. and at LDRS, Nadine has truly made rocketry action shots an art form.
We first met Nadine at GHS2000 and made her acquaintance again at GHS2004. Not only is Nadine an exceptional photographer, she is also a fine fine human being. And she laughs at our humor, making her a rare jewel indeed.

John Coker's Rocketry Pages
If RTV is macaroni and cheese, John Coker is filet mignon.
John's web site is first rate, his rockets are first rate, and his construction techniques are first rate.
The self described 'man with thousand hobbies' is also the man with a thousand power tools - and he knows how to use them.
This site is a living documentary showing what can be accomplished when the normal limitations of budget and free time are rendered powerless.

Brittain Fraley's Delta V Rocketry
This web site is astounding. The rockets themselves are formidable, fast, and furious - but Brittain has incorporated gyro roll-stabilization to compliment his digital video. The result is some of the best flight video anywhere. It is an amazing technical accomplishment for a hobbyist. Be sure to view the video the shows a side-by-side comparison of the unstabilized v. stabilized flight. Remarkable.

Gates Brothers Rocketry
This is what the Batman and Robin web site would look like if Bruce Wayne and his youthful ward Dick Grayson had gotten wound up in rocketry instead of fighting crime.
Not only will Dirk and Eric Gates will burn more propellant in one rocket flight than RTV will burn in an entire lifetime, they'll also pack their rockets full of digital cameras so you can see the flight via on-board video.
This site alone will make investing an a T1 Internet connection worthwhile.

www.cockeyed.com
Rob Cockerham's personal web site featuring wacky adventures like "trophy night", "free milk night", "science club", "how much is inside", harmless pranks around Sacramento, documentation of his vendetta against Herbalife advertizing, and a disturbing yet revealing admiration of the ubiquitous Hans Blix. www.lileks.com
Referred to by some as the world's greatest blogger, James Lileks has a wit and literary flair that defies description. Mr. Lileks writes a regular column for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, but the true wealth of his blatherings is better documented on his web site. Favorite features? It is difficult to choose. But I highly recommend the flotsam project: all elements are the stuff of pure evil genious, particularly The Institute of Official Cheer. Schedule several hours to browse this site, and apply Ace bandages to your torso before entering.
James Lileks is also the author of the book, The Gallery of Regrettable Food. Buy it.

Readiness Spoof
The US government has a new website, www.ready.gov. The government web site is devoted to instructing the American populace what they should do in the event of a terrorist attack. It is a little like in the old "duck and cover" newsreels shown in classrooms across the country during the Cold War.
This link is not to that web site. An evil twin to the government site has been created at
www.uspoliticsforum.com/emergency. At this page, the illustrations from the government site are given absurd new captions -- and it can be deliriously funny.
Viewer contributions have also been added at [HERE!]. The display format is a little whacked, but keep clicking on the Next link and scroll down past the ones you've already seen to view the next batch.
CAUTION: Some of the humor is crass. Don't follow this link if vulgarities offend you.
