More Dangerous Than Rocketry

"That sounds dangerous!" This is common reaction from people who discover that I build and fly large rockets. Their eyes glaze over when I try to list the many safety protocols that we rocketeers adhere to in order to avoid tragedy. I've learned that it is easier to explain that rocketry is probably safer than a lot of activities we don't consider dangerous at all.

This collection started with five photos and is now over twenty -- and they just keep getting more and more bizarre. Contact us if you think you have a photo that would make a nice addition to this montage.

Item One: Soft Drink Peril

This is the photo that first started me off on this peculiar collection:

Apparently, Diet Dr. Pepper is extremely hazardous. I was about to point the open end of the bottle at my mouth when the warning to the right caught my eye.

WARNING!
CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. CAP
MAY BLOW OFF CAUSING EYE OR
OTHER SERIOUS INJURY. POINT
AWAY FROM FACE AND PEOPLE,
ESPECIALLY WHILE OPENING.

I was surprized to realize that I was about to blow my head off.

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
